This paper mainly discusses the application of 3D virtual simulation technology in clothing design.Firstly,the background,purpose,and significance of the research are introduced,followed by an overview of the definition,characteristics,and traditional methods of clothing design.Then,the principles of 3D virtual simulation technology are detailed,including 3D modeling techniques,material and texture mapping techniques,and lighting and rendering techniques.Subsequently,the application of 3D virtual simulation technology in clothing design is studied,including clothing sample design,and clothing accessory design.
