By comparing the characteristics of costumes from different historical periods,this paper explores the evolution of aesthetic ideas in clothing,how practical value is transformed into aesthetic pursuit,and how political factors and era development influence the formation of clothing aesthetic ideas.The study concludes that clothing is not only the crystallization of material civilization but also embodies spiritual civilization.The aesthetic culture of each historical period is highly distinctive and forms different clothing aesthetic ideas.
