Li ethnic mythology serves as a significant cultural representation that sustains group identity.Researching this mythology contributes to a deeper understanding and preservation of Li culture.Through extensive literature review and material investigation,this article analyzes the mythical elements within Li brocade patterns,unveiling their cultural significance.The study concludes that the Li people intricately weave oral mythology into the design of their brocade patterns,allowing these patterns to harmoniously complement and preserve the oral traditions,thereby shouldering the responsibility of safeguarding the historical heritage of the Li ethnic community.
