The Qiang ethnic group lacks a written language of their own.Instead,they employ needles as pens,cloth as paper,and thread as ink to create highly distinctive patterns in Qiang embroidery.These patterns serve as their unique form of communication.Qiang embroidery carries the weight of the ethnic group's historical culture and holds significant representational and research value within China's ethnic minority cultural arts.The article analyzes the characteristics and techniques of Qiang embroidery,explores its inheritance and application in contemporary clothing design.By employing design techniques such as structural composition and reorganization,traditional elements of attire are seamlessly integrated with modern fashion trends,thereby further promoting the fusion and development of innovative contemporary fashion design and the preservation of traditional cultural heritage.This endeavor paves a new path for the protection and inheritance of Qiang embroidery as a precious intangible cultural heritage.
