Maple fragrance dyeing is a traditional dyeing and weaving technique,which was included in the second batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.Through field investigation and other methods,the historical origin,production technology and development status of maple fragrance dyeing were studied.It was found that maple fragrance dyeing,as the carrier of Buyi culture inheritance and national identity,has the function of uniting national emotion and enhancing cultural self-confidence.In order to further promote the inheritance and development of Buyi maple fragrance dye,we should make joint efforts to fully explore its cultural connotation.
