Synthesis and Self-healing Properties of Disulfide Waterborne Polyurethane
A series of bisulfide waterborne polyurethanes were prepared with the aim of improving their self-repairing performance. This was achieved by adjusting the dosage of 2,2'-disulfide diethanol using the traditional prepolymer method. It was demonstrated that the self-repair rate of bisulfide waterborne polyurethane films increased with the increase of the dosage of 2,2'-disulfide diethanol.Furthermore, elevated temperature and prolonged repair time were found to enhance the self-repair rate of bisulfide waterborne polyurethanes.
