This article takes the apparel design course as a case study to explore instructional methods and strategies in vocational education courses under the concept of"integrative learning and thinking."Through literature review and empirical research,the study analyzes the significance and potential applications of"integrative learning and thinking"in vocational education.It concludes that this concept facilitates expanding students'cognitive boundaries,promoting interdisciplinary learning,and enhancing their ability for comprehensive application.In the context of clothing pattern design courses,educators can stimulate students'creativity and design capabilities by integrating interdisciplinary content,practical cases,and collaborative projects,thereby enhancing their overall competence.
