Regional culture,as a unique resource,plays a pivotal role in the development of university aesthetic education.Taking Yixing City as an example,this study explores the fusion of regional culture with university aesthetic education through literature analysis and case studies.It first elucidates the close relationship and integration value between the two,followed by an analysis of current challenges in the integration process.Finally,it proposes recommendations in three areas:enhancing disciplinary frameworks,conducting diverse aesthetic education activities,and innovating teaching methods,aimed at providing valuable insights for aesthetic education practices in Yixing and other regions.
