This paper aims to explore the evolution of color in women's fashion during the Republic of China period and its underlying causes.By analyzing the social gender color theory of the era,the manifestations of color changes in fashion, and the driving forces behind these changes, the study delves into the socio-cultural significance of the shifts in women's fashion color. It is argued that, influenced by societal factors such as social systems, political economy, and ideological liberation movements, women's social gender identity evolved from a nascent consciousness of female struggle to a profound yearning for gender equality, and ultimately to a reaffirmation of female self-identity.These transformations are externally reflected in the changes in fashion color and design.
