Among the lacquerware artifacts excavated from Tombs No.1 and No.3 at Mawangdui, there exists a distinctive collection of dining utensils, marked with the inscription"Jun Xingshi"on the bottom of plates and cups. The lacquer plates feature unique and unprecedented decorative patterns, combining motifs of raccoon, turtle, and cloud designs, collectively referred to as"Jun Xingshi"lacquerware. This study organizes and extracts the patterns from"Jun Xingshi"lacquerware, applying deconstructivist design principles to derive new design elements. It aims to identify their integration with footwear design, explore the potential applications of Mawangdui's"Jun Xingshi"Chu-style lacquerware in modern shoe design, and evaluate their innovation and feasibility, thereby effectively showcasing the unique charm of Chinese culture and elements.
