The Impact of the PTT/PET Mass Ratio on the Physical Properties of T400 Fibers
The adjustment of the mass ratio between PTT and PET in T400 fibers significantly influences their physical properties. The study investigates the effect of varying the PTT/PET mass ratio by producing T400 fibers with five distinct ratios. The findings reveal that as the proportion of PTT increases in the T400 fibers, both the tensile strength and the elongation at break improve, while the dry heat shrinkage, hot water shrinkage, and curling elongation also show enhancement. When the PTT/PET mass ratio reaches 55:45,the dry heat shrinkage and hot water shrinkage attain their maximum values, influenced by the compositional balance on the curling behavior. In practical production,an optimal PTT/PET mass ratio can be selected based on the specific requirements of the product.
