Engineering Characterization of Dispersed Soil Improved by Slag Powder
The dispersed soil has low erosion resistance and is prone to damage such as pipe surges and gullies, which has great engineering risk as a construction material. In this paper, the dispersibility identification test, uniaxial compression test and compression test are carried out on slag micronized modified dispersed soil to explore its mechanical properties to ensure the effectiveness of its application in the project. The test re-sults show that:with the increase of slag micronized powder doping and the increase of maintenance age,the dispersion of the soil body is sup-pressed,the mechanical properties of the soil body are improved, and the compressibility is reduced;when the doping of slag micronized powder is up to 7%,and the maintenance is more than 7 days, the modification effect is better. From the microscopic point of view, slag micro powder added to the dispersed soil samples, the hydration reaction and ion replacement reaction occurred,by reducing the thickness of the double electric layer, providing cementing material to make the soil particles compact, filling the pores of the soil body to reduce the dispersion of the soil as well as improving the mechanical properties of the soil.
