Basic Characteristics and Risk Assessment of Debris Flow in Dam Back Area of the Maerdang Hydropower Station in the Yellow Rive
The occurrence of debris flow in the Deyang gully will affect the construction and safe operation of the Maerdang Hydropower Station. In order to analyze the basic characteristics of debris flow in dam back area of the Maerdang Dam Hydropower Station and evaluate the risk of deb-ris flow, the quantitative comprehensive evaluation method of debris flow gulley is used to evaluate the susceptibility of debris flow on the basis of analyzing the development characteristics, activity characteristics, deposit characteristics and dynamic characteristics of the Deyang gulley debris flow. The hazard of debris flow is evaluated by hazard index, single gulley debris flow hazard degree and fuzzy comprehensive discrimination meth-od.The hazard of debris flow is evaluated by combining the hazard degree and vulnerability of single gulley debris flow.According to the risk e-valuation results, corresponding engineering prevention measures are proposed. The results show that the debris flow in the Deyang gulley is micro-viscous debris flow, with a debris flow rate of 5.295×104 m3 and a solid matter content of about 1.270×104 m3.It is a medium-prone debris flow with high risk and harm.It is easy to cause harm to the safety of life and property of residents in the downstream S101 provincial road and related buildings in the dam area and villages.Targeted measures need to be taken to prevent and control the Deyang gulley debris flow.
