Numerical Simulation and Parameter Identification of Rock Mass Size Effect
Mechanical parameters of rock mass are the cornerstone of engineering design and construction,which directly affect the accu-racy of design calculation and the stability of engineering construction.Based on the structural mechanics of rock mass,the relationship between fracture rock sample size and fracture rock sample mechanical parameters index is constructed using numerical simulation and random fracture network,and the rock mass mechanical parameters that can be used in engineering practice are determined.The numeri-cal simulation method is compared with the rock mass mechanical parameters obtained by various common reduction methods.The results show that with the increase in fracture sample size,the number of internal cracks increases,and the mechanical indexes decrease gradual-ly and tend to be stable.According to the comparison results of rock mass mechanical parameters determined by different methods,the numerical simulation method can better obtain rock mass mechanical parameters and has certain advantages in obtaining elastic modulus and friction angle indexes.It is feasible to identify parameters by random fracture numerical simulation method.
