Experimental Study on Pozzolanic Activity and Hydration Performance of Tuff Powder in Cement-Based Materials
In order to explore the pozzolanic activity and hydration reaction of tuff powder in cement-based materials, the effects of fly ash and tuff powder on the mechanical properties of cement-based materials are analyzed by using compressive strength ratio and specific strength, and the influence mechanism of fly ash and tuff powder on the hydration of cement-based materials is studied through micro-scopic experiment. The results show that tuff powder has a certain amount of volcanic ash activity, and its mechanical properties decrease with the increase of tuff powder. At 28 days, the intensity contribution of 20%tuff powder is the highest. The morphological effect and crystal nucleation of tuff silt particles are more significant in the early stage of hydration.
