Eological Characteristics and Resource Potential of the Lithium-Polymetallic Metallogenic Belt in the Western Kunlun-Karakoram Region of Xinjiang
This article conducts a comprehensive analysis of the geological background, deposit types, and the current status of re-sources in the Xinjiang West Kunlun-Karakoram region, revealing its potential as an important strategic resource base in China. The region's geological structure is complex, influenced by the north-ern edge of the Tethys tectonic domain, and has undergone multi-ple phases of tectonic activity, resulting in abundant lithium polymetallic mineral resources. The main type of deposit is the granite pegmatite type.Currently, the development of lithium re-sources in this area is in its initial stages, with most mining areas still not fully developed.Given the global demand for clean energy and new energy vehicles continues to grow, the lithium polymetal-lic resources of this region are expected to become an important supply base in the future.
