基于语料库的《月亮和六便士》两个汉译本译者风格研究

基于自建的《月亮和六便士》两译本英汉平行语料库,采用语料库研究方法,从语言特征层面和非语言特征层面探究两个译者的译本风格.发现在语言特征层面,傅惟慈译本词汇丰富,词汇密度大于李继宏译本.而李继宏译本虽然词汇密度低,但四字成语使用频繁.傅译本句法复杂度高,长句多;李译本短句多,句式灵活多变,更易读.在非语言特征层面,两个译本的序言和注释存在较大差异.通过对比两位译者风格上的差异,有助于从社会翻译学角度解读译者风格成因.
Abstract
Based on the self-built English-Chinese parallel corpus of two Chinese versions of The Moon and Sixpence,this study ap-plies the corpus-based approach from the linguistic and non-linguistic perspectives to probe into the translator styles of these two versions.The results show that Fu Weici's translation has more lexical variance and lexical density in terms of the linguistic perspective,while Li Jihong's translation has less lexical variance and lexical density but has more use of the four-character words.Fu's translation conveys syntactic complexity with many long sentences,while Li's translation takes a flexible sentence pattern with many short sentences which is easily comprehensible to the readers.In regard to the non-linguistic perspective,there are great differences in prefaces and annotations be-tween these two translations.Compared the differences between these two translators,this study further reveals the underlying reasons of translator styles from the perspective of socio-translation studies.
