Moral deficiency is a widespread problem in today's society,and moral psychology and moral behavior are two aspects of its manifestation.Although both utilitarianism and deontology have contributed to the solution of this problem,both of them have obvious limi-tations.In contrast to utilitarianism and deontology,virtue theory offers a different path of explanation,and its"middle way",its pursuit of the intrinsic good and its progressive focus on virtue cultivation can well compensate for the shortcomings of utilitarianism and deontology in solving the problem of moral deficiency.The superiority of virtue theory in this regard is thus clear,and the return of virtue becomes partic-ularly important.
