Discussion on the Writing Methods of Biographies of Figures in the History of Science—Based on the Book Science in the Eyes of Cleo:An Initial Inquiry on the Historiography of Science
In his book Science in the Eyes of Cleo:An Initial Inquiry on the Historiography of Science,Mr.Liu Bing provides a spe-cialized discussion on biographies,suggesting that biographical methods carry functions that cannot be covered by other methods,while also pointing out the difficulties in writing biographies.From the perspective of Marxism,we fully apply the basic principles of Marxism to dis-cuss the writing methods of biographies,and it is believed that first of all,it is necessary to accurately possess the materials for character research.Secondly,it is important to focus on mastering character research methods such as historical data analysis method,historical a-nalysis method,class analysis method and system analysis method.Finally,the research principle of seeking truth from facts should be fol-lowed.
