As the western region in China has been promoting high-level protection and high-quality development since the new era,the function of the national ecological security barrier has been fully consolidated and a pattern of high-quality development has gradually taken shape.However,constrained by historical factors,the western region still faces numerous challenges,including difficulties in the modernization transformation of ecological governance and a lack of internal momentum for green,low-carbon,and high-quality development.On the new journey,to strategically determine the practical path for ecological protection and high-quality development in the western region,it is essential to focus on the following aspects:building a modern ecological environmental protection framework,driving green and low-carbon high-quality development through digitalization,and promoting the deep integration of ecological,cultural,and tourism industries.This approach will continuously shape the western region as a highland of new-quality productive forces,further establish a new pattern of extensive protection,openness,and high-quality development,and continuously write a new chapter in the great development of the western region.
