On the Current Situation of Social Support for Rural Family Education in Ethnic Areas of Southwest China
In the integrated field of family-school-community collaborative education,the significant value of social support for family education cannot be overlooked.Focusing the on rural areas in ethnic areas of Southwest China,this study takes Bronfenbrenner's Ecological Systems Theory as a framework to examine the current situation of social support for family education from macro,meso,and micro perspectives.The findings are as follows:At the macro level,the family-school-community collaborative education in rural areas is supported by the first legislation on family education and local policies,with village regulations and conventions serving as an important guideline for family education in rural areas.At the meso level,rural school-family cooperation tends to be in a one-way support model,with various sectors focusing on rural characteristics to increase support and emphasizing ethnic culture as a distinctive feature of social support for family education in rural areas.At the micro level,the parents are more likely to seek support from family members and relatives when encountered with problems in family education.
