The Function and Influence of Identity and Value Identification in Social Development
Identity refers to individuals'understanding and perception of their position and sense of belonging in society,while value identification is the process by which individuals accept and internalize certain value concepts or social norms.On the basis of the analysis of identity at the individual,social group,and cultural levels,and the examination of the role of value identification in the formation of social norms,guidance of individual behavior,and social stability and development,it is confirmed that identity and value identification play four major functions in social development:promoting individual development,enhancing social cohesion,advancing cultural heritage and innovation,and maintaining social stability and security.Moreover,real-case studies of China and the United States further confirm the positive aspects of identity and value identification in social development.
