Abstract
Exploring the fishing culture in ancient China holds profound significance for making its modern fishing culture prosperous,and also helps to promote a lifestyle that is"healthy,green,and shared".With a systematical analysis of the four key aspects of the fishing culture in ancient China,namely the definition,evolution,techniques,and motives of fishing,this paper finds its following contemporary enlightenment:Fishing encourages modern people to pursue a green lifestyle;the continuous innovation in fishing tools and techniques also inspires people to keep innovating;fishing aligns with the healthy lifestyle advocated in modern times;fishing can cultivate patience and observation skills,and encourages respect for nature.
