China's unique national context is deeply rooted in its millennia-old cultural heritage,which is inherently tied to the patriarchal clan system that forms the basis of Chinese society.The essence of China's excellent traditional culture is also grounded in this patriarchal clan-based inheritance,encompassing aspects such as family ethos and scholarship,clan laws and ethnicity,and beliefs and nationhood.This has culminated in the establishment of a state management system that is inherently patriarchal,with a hierarchical structure led by clan-based families and organized primarily around prefectures and counties.This system,coupled with a unified Confucian ideology and collectivist values,has contributed to the long-term stability of Chinese society.The rejuvenation of the Chinese nation calls for the"two combinations":combining the basic principles of Marxism with China's specific realities and with the excellent traditional Chinese culture.Grounding in the realities of China while delving into the excellent qualities of traditional Chinese culture,we can thus promote the development of the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics.Culture is the cornerstone of society's long-term development.To perfect our own cultural discourse system and the structure of humanities and social sciences,and to elevate the level of ideological and moral construction,China must embark on a path to modernization that is culturally diverse,structurally appropriate,morally sound,and institutionally complete,following a Chinese-style path to civilization.
