The Construction of the Political Identity of the People in the Occupied Areas of Shanxi During the Period of All-out War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression—From the Perspective of Daily Life
During the period of all-out War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression,Japanese invaders implemented a policy of ap-peasement and enslaving education in the occupied areas of Shanxi. These measures included providing material benefits to the people and promoting false propaganda.By using these policies and measures to intervene in the daily lives of the people, the invaders attempted to a-chieve the political identity of the people in the occupied areas towards Japan.Under the aggression of Japan, the people in the occupied areas strengthened their identity as"Chinese people".Coupled with the publicity of national consciousness by the Communist Party of Chi-na,the concept of national identity was constructed in the occupied areas of Shanxi. In addition, the hatred of the people in the occupied areas towards the Japanese invaders and the achievements made by the Communist Party of China in aspects such as safeguarding people's livelihood and fighting against the invaders promoted the people's identification with the Communist Party of China as a political party. From the perspective of daily life, the construction of relevant political identity concepts by the Communist Party of China and the people in the occupied areas of Shanxi provides a microscopic-perspective interpretation for the reasons behind the victory of the War of Resistance a-gainst Japanese Aggression and the establishment of New China.
