Preliminary Study on Vaccination Procedure of Tembusu Virus Disease in Geese
In order to formulate a scientific and efficient vaccination procedure of Tembusu virus disease in meat geese, inactivated vaccine(HB strain)and attenuated vaccine(FX2010-180P strain)of duck Tembusu virus disease were se-lected to carry out different vaccine combinations(7-day-old inactivated vaccine+21-day-old inactivated vaccine group(group A),7-day-old attenuated vaccine group(group B),7-day-old attenuated vaccine+21-day-old inacti-vated vaccine group(group C),14-day-old inactivated vaccine+28-day-old inactivated vaccine group(group D),14-day-old attenuated vaccine group(group E),14-day-old attenuated vaccine+28-day-old inactivated vaccine group(group F),non-immunized group(group G))test on 7-day-old and 14-day-old Zhedong white geese in this study.Double antibody sandwich ELISA was used to detect the antibody content at different periods after vaccination. The re-sults showed that:attenuated vaccinated group produced antibodies faster than the other groups, but the antibody con-tent did not last long. The antibody contents of inactivated vaccine+inactivated vaccine(group A,group D)were higher than that of attenuated vaccine(group B,group E)and attenuated vaccine+inactivated vaccine(group C,group F)from day 24th to day 36th after vaccination completion, and the antibodies last longer.According to the results of this study,it is suggested that meat geese can be vaccinated with inactivated vaccine of Tembusu virus disease at 14-day-old,and then vaccinated again 14 days later to obtain higher antibody content.
