摘要
诗歌是语言文学中不可缺少的一部分,诗歌翻译在中西方语言文化交流中具有重要地位.诗歌的翻译要求译者确切地理解原文,完整流畅地表达并再现原文.虽然因为中西方语言差异较难做到诗歌内容和形式上的完美再现,但译者也要努力在最大程度上实现原诗和译文的完美再现.《Crossing the Bar》是维多利亚时代著名诗人阿尔弗雷德·丁尼生晚年创作的作品,诗人在作品中借助多种意象表达了对死亡的态度.文章从许渊冲"三美论"的"意美""音美""形美"三个层面对《Crossing the Bar》的两个译本进行对比分析.
Abstract
Poetry is an indispensable part of literature.Poetry translation has an important position in Chinese and Western language and culture communication.Poetry translation requires the translator to express the content completely and fluently after understanding the original text accurately.Although it is difficult to reproduce the content and form of the poem perfectly because of the difference between Chinese and Western languages,the translator should try his/her best to realize reproduction of the original poem.Crossing the Bar isa work written by Alfred Tennyson,the famous Victorian poet,in his later years,in which the poet expresses his attitude towards death by using a variety of imagery.This paper a mpares and analyzes two translations of Crossing the Bar from the three levels of"beauty of mean-ing","beauty of sound"and"beauty of form"in Xu Yuanchong's"Three Beauties".
