One of the key skills that English majors should have is the ability to write in academic English.This study employs cor-pus-driven teaching methodology and takes abstract writing as an example.The course team created an academic English corpus and trained junior English majors from a university in Fujian province in abstract writing.While conventional instruction in abstract writing was given to the control group.The results demonstrated that the experimental group's students'academic performance had significantly im-proved,suggesting that corpus-driven teaching can both effectively improve students'academic writing and corpus retrieval analysis skills and serve as references for later English teaching reforms.
