Research and Practice on the Path of Enhancing the Quality of English Translation of Local Government Party and Government Websites—Taking the English Version of Hengyang City Party and Government Portal Website as an Example
With the continuous improvement of China's international status,the English translation of Party and Government Websites has become increasingly important.This paper takes Hengyang City Party and Government Portal website as the research object,to investi-gate the quality of its English translation and propose the corresponding improvement path.Through website content analysis and field inter-views,it is found that there exists problems in Hengyang City Party and Government Portal website,such as website design defects and improper expression of translations in English version.This paper suggests making full use of auxiliary tools,building a"four-in-one"collaborative English translation mechanism,establishing a terminology and knowledge base,and optimizing website design to optimize the English translation of Hengyang City Party and Government Portal,so as to make a greater contribution to foreign propaganda.
