Cross-cultural teaching is not only one of the important targets of foreign language education,but also an indispensable method of foreign language teaching.The key to the success of cross-cultural teaching lies in whether English teachers have cross-cultural teaching ability.However,compared with foreign language listening,speaking,reading,writing and translation teaching,many domestic English teachers still have difficulties in realizing their due educational value in classroom cross-cultural teaching practice.Therefore,this study focuses on what cross-cultural teaching ability is,what elements it consists of,and how to improve English teachers'cross-cultural teaching ability,so as to provide development conditions for English teachers to improve their cross-cultural teaching ability and provide reference for subsequent cross-cultural research.
