Exploration and Practice of Cultivating Translation Competence for English Majors in Local Textile University from the Perspective of International Communication
In the new era,Higher education for foreign languages in China has the mission of empowering students to tell Chinese sto-ries to the rest of the world.This research takes the cultivation of translation ability for English majors in the School of Foreign Languages in Wuhan Textile University as a case study and explores what English teachers in local textile university can do to innovate teaching and serve the needs of the times.By integrating the teaching of translation,textile and international communication in daily courses,offering students with platforms for real and authentic translation and international communication practice combined with practice courses,and in-spiring them with role models,students have made huge progress in both translation competence and international communication capacity and are therefor better quipped to understand contemporary China and tell Chinese stories to the world.
