Analysis of Students'Discourse in College English Classroom from the Perspective of Ecological Language
Ecolinguistics emphasizes the adaptability of language learning and use to the environment,cultural diversity,and interac-tion with learners,which provides a new perspective for understanding and improving the discourse ability of college English students in class.By analyzing the problems existing in students'discourse,such as insufficient or lack of participation,single content and lack of depth,excessive reliance on mother tongue,and neglect of cultural and situational adaptability in language use,this article explores in de-tail corresponding teaching measures,including recognizing and respecting students'cultural background,integrating multicultural ele-ments,and cultivating their ability to use English in different social situations.The aim of the paper is to establish a supportive,interac-tive,and diverse language learning environment,promoting the comprehensive development of students'discourse ability.
