A Study on the Translator's Subjectivity in the English Version of Agriculture God's Canon of Materia Medica—A Case Study of Li Zhaoguo's Translation
Under the background of globalization,with the increasingly frequent transnational cultural exchanges and the continuous progress of international health,the intrinsic value of traditional Chinese medicine classics has gradually attracted the attention of the world.The translation of Agriculture God's Canon of Materia Medica by professor Li Zhaoguo,as the first complete translation in China,has had a profound impact on the academic world.This study takes the theory of translator subjectivity as a framework and analyzes the translation in depth by considering five dimensions:original selection,title translation,term translation,sentence translation,translator's subjective responsibility and cultural confidence.
