文章探讨百度百科给《更路簿》地名翻译传播带来的机遇和挑战.研究发现,一方面,平台有助于传播《更路簿》渔民习用地名,弘扬拼音和海南方音,普及南海岛礁知识;另一方面,未消除外来名称影响,译名缺乏准确性和规范性.文章有利于提升《更路簿》地名翻译效果,拓宽其网络传播路径.
Abstract
This paper studies the opportunities and challenges Baidu Baike brings to the translation and dissemination of geographic names in Geng Lu Bu.The research shows that,on the one hand,Baidu Baike disseminates the idiomatic names given by Hainan fisher-men,promotes Pinyin and Hainan dialectal accents,and diffuses knowledge of the islands and reefs in the South China Sea.On the other hand,it fails to eliminate the negative influences of alien names and translate the geographic names with accuracy and normalization.This paper is conducive to enhancing the translation effectiveness of geographic names in Geng Lu Bu and improving its web-based dissemina-tion.
