The smart classroom is to create a new type of intelligent and personalized learning environment by using modern informa-tion technology,realize the intelligence of classroom teaching and learners'learning,and improve the quality of teaching.The article first explains the background and adaptability issues of exploring the teaching mode of college English smart classroom for art and P.E.students in colleges by organically combining the multimodal perspective with the smart classroom.Then,it sorts out the existing researches on mul-timodal language teaching and college English smart classroom.After that,it analyzes the current teaching situation of college English classroom for art and P.E.students from three aspects of students,teachers and evaluation,and correspondingly proposes a multimodal teaching mode of college English smart classroom.The analysis of the teaching mode of college English smart classroom for art and P.E.students from the multimodal perspective has reference significance for college English teachers to use the smart classroom for teaching practice.
