Literature Review on English Teaching Strategies from an Applied Linguistics Perspective
Applied linguistics is a specialized subject of language research and application.The introduction of applied linguistics into English teaching has attracted the attention of most English researchers and teachers.From the perspective of applied linguistics,this pa-per reviews several common teaching strategies in English teaching,including communicative approach,task-based teaching,content and language integration learning(CLIL)and reflective teaching.Through the literature review and analysis of these teaching strategies,this paper discusses their effects on improving students'language ability,promoting the integration of subject knowledge and promoting teachers'professional development.The paper points out that English teaching strategies are diversified,practice-oriented and integrated,and future research should further explore the specific application effects of these strategies and explore new teaching methods to meet the changing educational needs.
