The Application of Content and Language Integrated Learning(CLIL)in College English Teaching at Art Universities
This paper reviews the core principles of Content and Language Integrated Learning(CLIL)and its current application in college English teaching.Taking the college English curriculum at Sichuan Film and Television University,a private art university in Si-chuan,especially the teaching practice of the college-compiled textbook New Era Art English Reading(Unit 2 Passage 7)as an example,the paper demonstrates the methods of applying the CLIL approach in the class and explores the strategies and ways for better application.The paper fully affirms the positive impact of the CLIL approach on improving the quality of college English teaching to cultivate high-quality English talents and proposes the main challenges and key points that need to be addressed in using the CLIL approach.
