Design and Exploration of English Reading Teaching Based on Production-Oriented Approach—Taking Understanding Contemporary China:A Reading&Writing Course as an Example
Based on the theoretical framework of Production-Oriented Approach(POA),this paper takes the course design of Under-standing Contemporary China:A Reading&Writing Course as an example,and incorporates the three processes of"motivating,enabling,and assessing"into the teaching process to discuss the implementation of POA in real classroom teaching.Classroom practice shows that through reasonable and effective teaching design,POA can guide students to systematically learn and deeply understand the core meaning of Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era,learn to analyze contemporary China's development and achievements with Chinese theories and interpret them in English,so as to prepare themselves for telling Chinese story well in international communication.
