Interdisciplinary Research on the Engagement of Translation Learners
The study examines translation learner engagement from interdisciplinary perspectives,focusing on its connotation,influ-encing factors,and effect on translation performance.Educational psychology views learner engagement as a multidimensional concept en-compassing behavioral,emotional,and cognitive aspects,while translation studies consider it unidimensionally.Through a review of em-pirical studies on translation learner engagement,the paper identifies its key predictors like task and learner characteristics.It also finds a complex relationship between learner engagement and translation performance,varying with the cognitive demands of tasks.This paper can provide some reference for research on translation learner engagement.
