基于语料库建设的科技英语翻译教学模式构建及实践

文章以科技英语翻译课程为例,探究三个方面的问题.第一是通过自建科技英语翻译平行双语语料库,探索建库方法,总结归纳建库重难点,以助于后期对学生学习者语料库建库的指导;第二是基于平行双语语料库建构科技英语翻译教学的新模式;第三是通过具体的实证研究探究该教学模式的有效性.结果发现,基于语料库建设的科技英语翻译教学模式有助于提高翻译专业学生的科技英语翻译能力,尤其是术语翻译能力.
Abstract
This article takes the Science and Technology English Translation course as an example to explore three issues.The first is to explore the methods of building a parallel bilingual corpus for scientific and technological English translation,summarizing the key and difficult points of building a corpus in order to provide better guidance for the construction of a corpus for student learners in the later stage.The second is to construct a new teaching model for Science and Technology English Translation based on parallel bilingual corpora,and the third is to explore the effectiveness of this teaching model through specific empirical research.It was found that the teaching mode of Science and Technology English Translation based on corpus construction can help improve the translation ability of translation majors,es-pecially the ability to translate terminology.
