Study on Transcultural Literacy of College English Teacher from the Perspective of"The Third Space"Theory
According to the quality requirements of college English teachers in the new era,this paper focuses on the multiple su-pracultural identities of college English teachers,including the roles of excellent Chinese cultural communicators and cultural intermediar-ies,with reference to the Witsei&Bovle model of supracultural communicative competence.Combined with"The Third Space"theory,this paper tries to propose a path to enhance college English teachers'supracultural literacy.The improvement of college English teachers'me-ta-cultural literacy will help promote the inheritance of China's excellent history and culture,create new cultural forms that meet the needs of The Times,and serve the construction of local international talent training systems in local colleges and universities to meet the"Great Needs"of national strategic development.
