小说《简·爱》是夏洛蒂·勃朗特的著作,小说中有许多主人公对生活的隐喻.Lakoff和Johnson提出隐喻能够反映思维,认知文体学关注语言和语言选择背后的认知动机和意图,能够更深入地阐释文本的潜在意义和主题.因此,文章从认知文体学视角,基于概念隐喻理论,分析《简·爱》中简·爱和罗切斯特对生活的隐喻,旨在通过总结和对比他们对生活的隐喻,更清晰地感知女主人公的成长.
Abstract
Jane Eyre is a masterpiece of Charlotte Bronte,which contains many metaphors of life.Lakoff and Johnson proposed that metaphor can reflect thinking,and cognitive stylistics focuses on language and the cognitive motivations and intentions behind language choices,which can provide a deeper interpretation of the underlying meaning and themes of a text.Therefore,from the perspective of cog-nitive stylistics and based on the theory of conceptual metaphor,the paper analyzes metaphors of life for Jane Eyre and Rochester in Jane Eyre,aiming to perceive the growth of the heroine more clearly by summarizing and comparing their metaphors of life.
