The construal view in cognitive linguistics is a key theory,which emphasizes how language users use language to under-stand and interpret the world.Based on this,this paper discusses the different English versions of Autumn Thoughts of Ma Zhiyuan and the deviations in the translation process.These deviations are analyzed from four dimensions of cognitive construal:scope and ground,per-spective,prominence and specificity.The research shows that cognitive construal theory provides a new perspective for the comparative a-nalysis of translation versions and helps readers to understand the characteristics of different English translations.
