Based on the latest research in positive psychology,this article explores the role of positive psychology in enhancing the motivation of English language learners.The study reviews the core concepts of positive psychology,and analyzes the reasons for negative emotions that students experience in language learning.It also proposes some specific teaching strategies,to help teachers apply positive psychology theory in actual teaching and enhance students'learning motivation and effectiveness.
