In the context of globalization,the local cultural aphasia in English Listening and Speaking courses hinders students'un-derstanding and identification with their native culture.Based on questionnaires and data analysis,the study finds that students'knowledge of various fields of Tianfu culture is unbalanced.Moreover,their ability to narrate Tianfu stories in English varies significantly.Most students support the integration of Tianfu culture into the course,believing that it will help enhance their interest in learning and cultural confidence.Therefor,the paper puts forward some measures to improve the teaching syllabus,the content of teaching materials and the teaching methods,so as to promote the effective integration of local culture in the English Visual-Audile-Oral courses.
