The excellent traditional Chinese culture constitutes the spiritual core of the Chinese nation and is also an important soft power.English teaching in private universities should be based on learning situations and overcome difficulties.It is important to focus on cultivating students'language abilities and building their cultural confidence.This article analyzes the current situation of cultural integra-tion teaching in private universities,explores the connotation and educational value of excellent traditional Chinese culture,and puts for-ward several suggestions from the aspects of teaching strategies and practices:enriching teaching content to integrate elements of excellent Chinese culture,innovating cultural integration teaching methods to achieve combination of interaction and practice;optimizing the teach-ing evaluation system to increase the dimensions of cultural understanding and application.These strategies aim to comprehensively en-hance students'cultural cognition,language skills,and cross-cultural communication abilities.
