The participation of English undergraduates in scientific research practice is helpful to cultivate their innovation ability and improve their scientific literacy.At present,there are certain problems in private universities,such as the imperfect scientific research e-valuation mechanism,the imbalance of the knowledge structure of young teachers,and the weak comprehensive quality of students.This paper puts forward the idea of improving the comprehensive literacy of English undergraduates in private colleges by participating in rele-vant scientific research activities from four aspects:schools,faculties,teachers and students.The school creates a good external academic atmosphere through academic lectures and school-enterprise cooperation,strengthens the coordination of all parties,forms interdisciplinary teams,and innovates the teaching system,so as to activate students'enthusiasm to participate in scientific research,deepen students'understanding of relevant professional knowledge and theoretical systems,and improve students'practical language skills.
