A Study on the Integrated Cultivation of Core Competencies of English Normal Students in Local Universities—A Case Study of Longyan University
The shift towards"core competencies"in the reform of basic English education in the new era presents challenges for cul-tivating core competencies among English normal students.Taking Longyan University as an example,the study investigates the status quo of core competency cultivation among English normal students.The findings reveal existing problems in teacher ethics cultivation,curricu-lum design and practical teaching.Based on this,the study,with an aim to improve core competencies of English normal students,propo-ses an integrated cultivation system focusing on core competencies,which includes emphasizing teacher ethics education,optimizing cur-riculum design and improving practical teaching.
