With the increasing importance of English in the medical field,accurate pronunciation expression becomes crucial.This study takes 183 sophomore clinical undergraduates of grade 2022 in a medical college in Jiangxi Province as the research object.Through anonymous questionnaires and using the Likert five-point scale method,it investigates the current situation and influencing factors of Eng-lish suprasegmental phoneme acquisition of medical students.The study finds that students have difficulties in mastering phonetic knowl-edge and learning strategies of suprasegmental phonemes.The average value of teachers'teaching strategies is the lowest and there is great individual differences.Gender has no significant difference in the acquisition of suprasegmental phonemes.Phonetic knowledge,learning strategies and self-evaluation are significantly positively correlated.Learning strategies are the strongest predictor of self-evaluation,and teachers'teaching strategies have insignificant influence.Based on this,this study proposes several improvement measures,including opti-mizing teaching strategies,providing personalized tutoring and introducing diversified teaching methods.
