The Application of Frame Semantics Theory in English Vocabulary Learning
Vocabulary is a crucial component of language and a fundamental element in foreign language learning.Observing the cur-rent situation of many English learners,some do not place enough emphasis on vocabulary study,leading to issues such as difficulty in un-derstanding word meanings and improper collocation.In response to these problems,this article suggests incorporating Frame Semantics theory into English vocabulary learning,analyzing its significance,and proposing an application framework that'focuses on core frame el-ements,supplements with non-core frame elements,and expands with elements outside the frame'.It also provides examples to illustrate specific applications,aiming to help English learners improve the quality and effectiveness of their vocabulary learning.
